Tandorri Chicken - 11/11/99


The recipe

The Preparation... I used 3 large bone-in chicken breasts. The chicken skin was removed, the skinless chicken was then washed and dried. I marinated the chicken in a big plastic bag for 5.5 hours in the refrigerator.

 

The Cooking...  My BGE was stabilized with a dome temperature of 600 degrees. After shaking the excess marinate off of the chicken, I brushed on a little olive oil and  placed it on the grill.  I started with the bone side down -- cooked for 7 minutes -- flipped the chicken over -- cooked for another 7 minutes and then turned the chicken about every 7 minutes. Total cooking time was 25 minutes -- internal temp at 165.

 

The results... The chicken had a nice taste, but was actually a little dryer than I like. We may try it again cooking it hotter and faster. In case you are wondering the beer and the Cole Slaw was great.  The beer is available at a store near you, the Cole Slaw Dressing is in our recipe section.
