6/21/2000 -  Pizza

[06_21_00][17_16]_01.jpg (369735 bytes) 05:16pm - This could be called a personal pizza. It is only about 12 inches across. First a layer of sauce followed by a layer of mozzarella cheese. On top of the cheese is a layer of pepperoni and Italian sausage. On  top of the toppings is a layer of Parmesan cheese - looks so good. Since I haven't started the grill yet, it will go into the freezer until the BGE hit the proper temperature.
[06_21_00][18_03]_01.jpg (375347 bytes) 06:03pm -  This time I have reverted to the traditional '|__|' firebrick setup. Following Spin's previous advice, temp control is only managed from the top vent with a broken firebrick... notice the 1/2 brick on the top vent  - the bottom vent is open wide. The dome temperature is stabilized at 550 degrees - click on the picture for better visibility.

[06_21_00][18_27]_03.jpg (399102 bytes) 06:20pm - The pizza turned out great... the bottom crust was an even golden brown and the cheese on top was about perfectly melted and cooked... thanks Spin!

Tomorrow is leftover pulled pork in an  Enchiladas  - have a wonderful evening.

Thought for today!
