12/21/2000 -  Beef Jerky


The Recipe

This started with a 5lb beef brisket. After removing  the fat cap, it was sliced and placed in the marinate at 8am yesterday. I used a 2 gallon freezer bag  for marinating the beef.  Click on the pictures for a full size image.  The first 2 pictures illustrate my new contraption - following other examples from the forum, I made the leap - now well see how well it works. The three bolts are only attached to the lower grid - the top one mere sits on the uprights.

20001221@090846.jpg (310735 bytes) 10:12am - this batch is really looking great! This dual grid thing seems to work great - your are only looking at the top half. I also think that it will be finished in much less time - less cooking time and more eating time - Life is GOOD! :~]
