Gfw's Spicy Beef
The Marinade: Make enough to cover the meat
Soy Sauce: 1 cup
Rice Wine: 1/2 cup
Maple Syrup: 1/2 cup
Worchester: 1/4 cup
Lemon Juice: 1/8 cup
Red Pepper Flakes: 2 tbs
Garlic Powder: 2 tbs
Cayenne Pepper: 1 1/2 tsp
Onion Powder: 1 tsp
Black Pepper: 1 tsp
Tabasco Sauce - 1 tsp
Hot Chili Sesame Oil - 2 tsp
02/24/2001 - 1:30pm - I used 6lbs (5lbs after removing the fat cap) of beef brisket sliced with the grain. It will marinate until tomorrow morning at about 6am.
02/25/2001 - 6:00am - the marinated brisket is on the BGE - blowing winds today and a grill that stabilized at 200 instead of 180. The results - great spicy jerky with a slightly sweet taste from the increased quantity of maple syrup.
